Hey everyone! Here’s a quick update as we head into the new year:
I’m switching to Nirvanabiome as my preferred option for adult metagenomics stool testing (I previously recommended Thorne and will still review their tests if you are a client).
For kids under three, I will continue using TinyHealth for metagenomics.
I’ll also keep using the Genova GI Effects Comprehensive Profile for clinical markers.
I have no affiliations with any companies; these recommendations come from my own experiences working with clients and reviewing hundreds of stool tests.
I’ve been working on a few things behind the scenes and will soon share a detailed update to my stool testing article, including the full rationale for the change to Nirvanabiome. There’s also plenty of new content on the way, including an upcoming Q&A for paid subscribers!
Wishing you a healthy and happy new year!
Lucy
Im looking forward to your article on this topic. Nirvana biome has a nice presentation but they are impossible to reach. I’m wondering if theirs picks up methanogens and still waiting to hear back from them. Right now I’m using Microbiomix though a bit pricey and a confusing layout for the report. Sadly tiny health took away ordering privileges for RDNs without any notice. A challenging field to navigate!
Please provide your assessment of GutID. My clients are requesting recommendations on accurate and validated microbiome assessments. Thank you!
